I really like the idea and the image you used; perfect for a minimalist-lover like myself. I would suggest, however, getting rid of the noise. It seems like static, kind of electric, which is out of place given the archaic vibe that the picture and the color grant the piece. I think a better choice would be a subtle papery texture, the more old-timey looking the better. Some border elements, like translucent floral or geometric (Mudejar, for example) designs (also subtle) would help to give it more presence, imo.

Again, I love the idea. With better / more thoughtful execution, this would be a strong contender for my next wallpaper .
